Is there a way to make the digital camera files smaller on your computer without affecting the quality of them, so you could attach them to email storage faster and not wait hours to attach your whole memory card? you could put some in folders and zip the folders.
changing file resolution is going to degrade the picture quality, so screen viewing rez should be 72dpi; but you could change the dimensions if you don't need huge images on screen. like instead of 1200x1600 you could resize down to 800x600 or a little smaller. They'll view fine in email.
If you resize dimensions for emailing, I'd keep the originals stored somewhere and resize copies.
