Please help with new Camera?

I'm need a new Digital Camera, one of the small ones that you can stick in your pocket. Please help me, I have no idea what to look for... so if you could tell me the best camera you've had (it would have to be pretty recently made though). I'd appreciate if you could send me the title of the camera and if you can, a picture of it.
The only thing I know is I would like to have a camera with a larger screen... 2.5'' at the least.
I would appreciate any words or any advice... thank you!

I would also like it to be available now, because I would want it by Halloween.
I am willing to spend around 250 $

I highly recommend the Sony Cybershot

Digital camera manufacturers seem to be adding to the confusion surrounding the "need" for megapixels by equipping compact consumer models with increased resolution. Sony's version of this powerful compact camera is the Cyber-shot DSC-W7, a 7.2 megapixel digital camera in the "Wide LCD" series. Sony also packs in popular features such as a 2.5-inch LCD screen, 3x optical Carl Zeiss zoom lens, and 32 MB of internal memory. After the success of the earlier W1, Sony decided to expand the camera into an entire series marked by their large LCDs. The W7 packs in a lot of megapixels on its 1/1.8-inch Super HAD CCD and couples it with a Real Image Processor. Automatic, manual, and scene modes are all located on the mode dial, which is housed on top of the thick, durable metal alloy body. The boxy camera retails for $249.95 and is offered in black and silver casings.

if you want something small go with the canon digital elph ...im not sure if they come with 2.5 " screen or not. i've had 2 canon elph they are good camera's but not the best. i recently just purchasedl a 10.0 nikon coolpix and its amazing it comes with a 2.5" screen all the bells and whistles and it has amzing resolution.

It might have if you mentioned how much you are spending. In general you pay more for tinyest as compared to a regular compact camera. Anyway, look through Website dpreview.com for reviews of small cameras and prices. Biggest bang for your bucks though are regular compact cameras.

how small you want it to be, like canon's SD series or A series?

If you plan to put in your pocket an important feature is built-in lens cap. With that in mind Olympus stylus cameras are very nice, you can buy directly from Olympus on EBay they are factory refurbished and get a 90 day warranty, new @ Olympus.com The SW series stylus is shockproof (they claim you can drop it five feet, and waterproof to twelve feet. Nice for water parks rainy days

Kodak and Canon are the best brans. Go to best buy and tell them what ur looking for. You can try out the camera and find the one thats best for you then go on Google and type in the camera model and cheap. U will find it for a lot less online.

You can go to this site. They sometimes get a bit technical, but they have a number rating system that is great for comparing one to another. You can search by specific models (the ones you see in a store and like) or by brand or by price range. The best models I have seen are Sony and Cannon. Good luck!!
