In digital camera censors, 5.3x4.0mm vs 36x24mm;?

they say one advantage is smaller sensors produce crisper pictures. what about the advantage of a 36x24mm censor?

thank you.

When the sensor is smaller, because the pixels are so small and so close together, there is a higher chance of the electronic signal "bleeding" from one pixel to another, so you have a higher chance of introducing digital noise to the image.

Really, the only advantage of having a smaller sensor is that the camera can be made smaller and the manufacturing costs is lower since it costs much less to manufacture the sensor.

A smaller sensor would not produce a crisper image. A sensor with more pixels would produce a crisper image.

This is like comparing a toy boat with a US Navy battleship. There is simply no comparison. Bigger wins every time when there is this much difference. You could fit over 40 of the smaller sensors on the 36x24, so you tell me which gathers the light better.
