It has to be at least 3 mp or more because i do professional medical photographing. it has to be small in size and user friendly. Please i need personal experiences. Do i still go for Sony, or other options are available???? I recently purchased a Fujifilm FinePix V10 5.1MP that I found on sale for $159.00 on Amazon. I figured that, at the price, it was quite a steal. I will admit that I didn't expect much from it since I have used higher-end and more expensive cameras (my brother is a professional photographer). I bought this to be my everyday camera that I could take and use anywhere without having to worry about it getting scratched up or damaged since it would be replaceable considering the price I bought it for.
I was surprised when I got the actual camera. The picture quality is great for the price. The automatic shooting options produce amazing results that would even outdo more expensive cameras (like some Sony models I tried). The manual functions are also easy to work and produce satisfying results given the price.
What I really like about this camera is that it can shoot up to ISO 1600 (although noise is a problem at that level). When I take pictures, I like shooting in natural light to retain the warmth of the actual scene. With this camera, at auto-setting, I can usually do this even in low light and produce good results at ISO 800.
Another thing I couldn't stand about more expensive cameras was shooting with flash in very low light. For some reason, most other point and shoot digitals produce images with the background drowned-out by the heavy emphasis on the subject in focus. The V10 balances out the light while even in conditions that require flash and is still able to produce clear images without sacrificing the background. Also, it does not take forever to for an image to store before you can take another shot.
Other features include consecutive 40 burst, dual shot (1 press takes a picture both with and without flash), multiple thumbnail view of stored pics, anti-shake/blur + autofocus, lithium ion rechargeable battery included.
It also helps that this camera is very small and lightweight. It fits in the back of my jeans pocket. I don't even have a case for it but the screen does not scratch easily.
Oh, and another thing I really liked about this camera is that it is actually made of metal - not plastic made to look like metal like most models from other manufacturers. Another big difference: this thing is not made in China. It is made in Japan.
I would check it out at Amazon if you have time.
If you have more cash to spare, I would go for the FinePix F31d instead. You can view more details by going to http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital... I have the canon sd600
it is small and excellent
