I don't want to spend too much and want it to be small enough to carry in my purse daily. I would prefer it to have 5MP or more with a large swivel display... Any suggestions? The Canon PowerShot A6_0 models have a swivel display/LCD screen.
The A610 is a 5 mp model and the A620 is a 7.1 mp model, both of their swivel screen is 2". I have the A620 and my son owns the A610.
The newer models, the A630 has 8 mp and the A640 is a 10 mp model and their screen is larger at 2 1/2" and has a wider ISO range.
As answered earlier, cameras with swivel displays have a camera body that tend to be larger than the cute, smaller models. But I have my A620 in a cloth drawstring pouch, always with me in my purse and use it all the time.
Like you, I wanted a swivel LCD screen when searching for a digital camera. It keeps the screen safe and is very helpful when taking pictures at various angles.
At the time, I purchased my camera new online in the lower $200's last spring. It'll be tough to find the A610 and A620 in the stores now that they have the upgraded models A630 and A640. I've noticed now, online, that the prices for the A620 has gone up since I made my purchase. I don't know much you're wanting to pay. Try online for your search, or check your local stores. I've seen the A630 at Target, Wal-Mart and BestBuy. Try OfficeMax and Office Depot too. Anywhere where they have a selection of digital cameras.

I don't know if there are any other camera brands that have swivel displays. This is just my experience.
Good Luck! Tell you Honestly, when you threw in the swivel display,..only larger bodied cameras come with that type of display. There are plenty of 5 Mp pocket(purse)sized cameras for under 200 bux. The Nikon's havea few models with swivel displays, but not small sized...
Good luck I bought Kodak easy share. It doesn't have the swivel display, but it fits everything else you mentioned, and I found it for under $100 i have an HP cam, it's cool, it has 4.5mp on it, but no swivel display...but's nice and only $175...hope this helps. 1. Choose an older model.
There are 5 megapixels from 2004 or 2005 that work just as well as new 2007 models-- the only difference is resolution, and possibly battery performance and startup speed.
2. Get it on eBay.
When you have an idea of the brand an model you want (choose a few,) go onto eBay and see what's going cheaply. Another way to do it is to start at eBay-- search for ended auctions on cameras in your price range, write down the ones that look like the right size, and then find reviews on them to make sure it's the camera for you. go to yahoo shopping

The Fugi has 5 megapixels and can be bought for $100 or less,
The Canon has 5 MP also and sells for about $160.
I don't believe theres any swivel for either.
