I'd like it to be small and thin and some features that are most important to me are that it has good quality video (with sound) and that it can connect to a computer (although i think all digital cameras can do that nowadays). Also it would be nice if the pictures took right away, so that there's no shutter delay or whatever you call it. Thanks =D Casio Z75 or Z1050 is a great choice, nice and thin, lightweight, shoots photos and video with sound. Easy to use controls and a 2.5" screen to view.

Recommend a Scandisk memory card, about 2GB.
Check you Sunday paper for ad sales or coupons. I think a Sony Cybershot should be a good camera for you.
the DSC-W55, DSC-W80 or the DSC-W90
They all have a mode of taking pictures called 'Burst' where you can take multiple pictures in a row with almost no lag time.
You might also want to consider getting a high speed memory stick, that also helps for continuous photographing. That's about like asking which snowflake do you like best, there's so many out there now.
Yeah, I bought a digital camera couple years ago, and was incredibly upset with the delay of taking the picture. Yuck!! But they are getting better.
One of the best things to do is check store sites on web, especially if they offer descriptions of controls and technical data.
Or even better, just go into Walmart, Circuit City, Best Buy, or your favorite nearby store and just look at them, hold them, examine them.
I have larger hands, so these very tiny and super thin digital cameras are hard for me to use. I also want an extra long zoom which few have, but most zooms are good.
So for me, I need to be able to hold it easily and access the zoom controls very, very easily.
For you, there's tons of tiny and great digital cameras out there. Fuji, Canon. Olympus, Nikon, are just a few of the brands out there. In a store, it helps to look at older models, because they'll be cheaper. Some of brand newer models like from Canon, have Image Stabilization, which means it takes the picture without any camera shake.
Also go to the local library, get Popular Photography magazine and just look at the ads and articles to get more info. my suggestion

digital camera GUIDE
be sure to check titles on the left side
the guide should answer your questions Even though I personally own this ultra compact camera, I would still like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:
1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
6. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
7. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
8. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera;
9. And the price is a mere $120 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com.]
