Good digital camera characteristics?urgentt? |
i want to buy a digital camera but i donno how to choose a good one..and im going tonight to buy one..so what the hell are pixels and should they be big or small numbers? plz help tell me anything you know plzzzzzzzzzz!! My advice for those shopping for a point & shoot digital camera, you may want to consider the following: 1) At LEAST 5 mp. This is best for most users. 2) OPTICAL zoom with at least 4X. (Digital zoom shouldn鈥檛 be high priority in a digital camera). 3) camera ought to have an viewfinder. Some models are doing away with the viewfinder. It is very helpful to have, when the subject is difficult to see in the LCD/display screen on a very bright day, or to conserve battery life. (Continuous screen use, suck up battery life). 4) Uses AA regular or rechargeable batteries. Some models have specialized lithium ion batteries, where you charge it while in the camera. With AA, you can always pick up a spare if you find yourself caught with low batteries and are not able to charge the camera/lithium ion battery quickly. 5)And a PLUS, can take video/movie mode. (Which most do!) Thanks for picking me! I'm like you...when it comes to something I want/need, but don't know what I should look for in the product, I just want the facts without having to go into confusing details, and explanation of new terms. Did you buy a camera? Report It Oh, I need to inject a clarification in my answer. When I said to look for a camera that uses AA. I meant either regular AA batteries, and/or AA rechargeable batteries. Report It fyi-I have a Canon PowerShot A620. They have a new and improved Canon PowerShot A630. Check it out if you find it at the store. Enjoy your new camera! Report It buy a camera that is at least 6 mega mixels or higher. the higher it is the better the imige will be when you want to blow it up and it will not be fuzzy looking the more the pixels are the better resolution you have I have Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N2 digital camera which is really good one and here are the Basic Specifications : my suggestion The best answer really depends on how you want to use the camera, and how much you value convenience compared to capability. Then you can narrow down the choices and look for the one that feels best in your hands. If you don't plan to enlarge a photo more than 8X10 then a camera with 4 to 6 megapixels is sufficient. Some cameras are super zooms, the more zoom, the more you pay. Some cameras are very good on battery life, some aren't. It really depends on what you want to use the camera for. There are 4 mega pixel cameras that take great pictures that can be enlarged to at least 11x14. You probably should get something with about 5 or 6 mega pixels. Standard point and shoot cameras usually have a 3x optical zoom which is adequate for most snapshots. The more zoom and mega pixels, the more money. You also might want to look at various camera features like image stabilization and manual controls and decide if you really need those at this time. |
