How to make the nose look smaller when taking pics of myself?

Your problem has nothing to do with angles.

Your nose looks abnormally large because you're holding the camera in one hand and trying to shoot a picture of your face from no more than three feet away (or whatever the length of your arm happens to be).

That means you have to have the camera set at the widest view. And a wide angle lens will ALWAYS make things appear broader or longer when it's that close. Especially things like faces, which are contoured rather than flat.

THe solution to the problem is to get the camera farther away from your face and don't use the widest lens setting.

In other words, either take the photo using a mirror (then flip it in Photoshop) or - what is much better! - have someone else take the picture from a reasonable distance.

Or, of course, you could use a tripod or place the camera on some other support, and shoot using the self timer.

If you had some more self-esteem all the angles would work. Stop trying to fool others and learn to love your facial features. If you don't love your face, its hard to expect others to. I'm sure you have a wonderful nose that provides for you a healthy stream of oxygen to breathe with.

If your nose is long, take a full-face photo. If your nose spreads wider than you like, take a profile or 3/4 profile.

If you have a watermelon in the middle of your face, then airbrushing afterwards is the only way to go. :)

Depending on the shape of your nose. If its long and jutting out, perhaps take one from a 45 degree angle from the top, and if its too wide, take it from the side.

Or you can always photoshop it =)

do your makeup really well and be very glamorous with the eye makeup make them pop out to draw attention away from your nose

Let the camera be further away from your face.
