Racial profiling or he just doens't like me....you tell me. what should i do?

My mother in law lives about 20 miles way from me in a small town. Lately i have been followed by a partical cop every time i go visit her. it seems to me that he has a grudge due to a ticket i won. in the end he had to drop the charges because he was in the wrong. Anyways he goes to the extreems he follows me from the moment he sees me. if there is a car behind me and he's behind that car i'll actually swerve out of the road and go on the shoulder just to run my liences. Now i have complained once to his supervisor but i'm thinking i'm going to have to do it a second time. should i carry a video camera and sue or what? i totally feel he has a grudge i dont thing he's racial profiling but he was racial profiling when he first stop me though.

If you suspect harrassment, report him. The police don't care for that type of activity, and the last thing any police officer wants is an internal investigation.

It takes a certain mentality to be a cop.
So his psychological profile maybe that of a person that doesn't like to be wrong, even when he is, they just don't see it like that.
Or you did play the race card an he see this as an injustice and blemish on his record.
This kind you don't want to deal with; let him win in some small way, he could be dangerous.

It is not racial profiling, but it could be harrassment. The best thing to do is to simply ignore him. As long as you are doing nothing worng, he has no reason to pull you over. Just following you is not going to fly as harrassment, so it is best to just let him waste his time and get past the business.

Confront him and ask him outright? That will let him know that you have noticed his harrassment and make him think twice about it. If it continues, file a harrassment complaint.

Sounds like harassment and racial profiling to me.

It's best to contact the state's attorney since his boss/the copper's was LAX in doing his job and following up a citizen's complaint.

Cops don't do "Racial Profiling", were allowed to treat all criminals the same.

Maybe he just wants to teach you how to spell.

I would not say it has to do with race. I think it has to do with pride. You won and he had to drop all the charges. Not so great for his ego.

But what ever the reason I would say it's harrassment.

I do like your idea of a video camera for two reasons. The first is of course you would have proof and the second is because if he has a brain at all the minute he sees you ARE taping him he will probably find someone else to pick one.
