What to get her?

my sister is 18, goes to school in boulder @ CU and when she comes home for christmas i would like to get her something nice! any ideas?
she loves sports (especially running), shes a snowboarder, abit of a lable whore (only the truth), drives a mini cooper, loves smoothies, favorite show was the o.c before it got cancelled, lived in scotland for apart of her senior year, is a photography and anthropology major, loves dogs, and czech food, is more into alternative music (like shins, dashboard confessional, agustana, coldplay, ect) piano player, favorite movie is ferris buelers day off, loves partying, and just got into longboarding (as in skateboarding)

its so tuff b/c she already as many of the big special gifts like a cell, apple notebook, ipod, cameras, designer purses, tv , dvd player ect ect

your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

she already got a brand new expensive longboard, great idea but doesnt work!

You could put together a gift bag of little things, that way it's more personal, and probably cheaper.

For example, in it you could put stuff like...a gift card to Jamba Juice (since she likes smoothies), DVDs of the episodes of the O.C. (since she liked that show but can't watch it anymore), running shoes or workout outfit (since she likes running), a program like Photoshop or Flash that she can put on her computer (since she is a photographer), a burned CD of specific songs she likes (since you know her favorites bands).

Okay I think you got the idea.
Hope this idea sparked your interest (=

If not just try going shopping with one of her friends and have her help you out with what she would like or not.

get her a new fancy longboard with a design that she really lyks...lyk something she drew or something...thats what i would get her

Well, you say she already has the big "special" gift but in my opinion a cell phone or an ipod isn't that "special".

"Special" gifts are things you put alot of thought into. Homemade gifts are the best or you can always buy something (nothing wrong with that). But if you do buy something, it should be something that really catches your eye and you think "She would absolutely love that."

What you can also do to make a store-bought gift more personal, is to buy alot of little things instead of one big thing. Get a nice basket and fill it with lots of cool goodies. Maybe some cool winter gear (hat, gloves, etc.) since she likes being outdoors doing winter sports and activities.

Maybe some comfy pajamas, some hot chocolate mixes, fuzzy socks, a gift card for something like itunes, and maybe something like a picture frame with a picture of the two of you in it. Put a nice bow on the basket and there ya have it.

It's alot more personal and even though you aren't getting her something big like a laptop, I bet she'll enjoy a bunch of smaller gifts just as much.

Hope that helps :-)

Here are a few ideas for the gal who has everything...
1) Netflix or Blockbuster subscription.
2) Magazine subscription.
3) Photography class.
4) Piano lessons.
5) Personal trainer sessions.

Do any of these work?

give her a loving dog
