What can i do on my Gap year?

I am planning a gap year for after A-Levels and before Uni but i am very short of inspiration at the moment. My interests are photography, technology, wildlife and sports like skiing, scuba diving. Does anybody have any ideas, know any good companies or websites or have been on any really good gap year placements themselves that can help me out? thanks.

And in reply to one answerer, i do not want to get a job for the entire year, i have the rest of my life to work my butt off.

My dad went out to Lake Louise in Alberta, Canada and went skiing for a year. He skied all day and worked as a life guard at one of the hotels at night to pay for it. It's a great mix of work and play and he says that it helped him decide what he wanted to do with his life. Someone else I know did community service work for a year and my mom backpacked through Europe for a few months.

get a job and live in the real world. it will open your eyes from that student cocoon you've been living in.

Seriously, if you havent got any deas yourself, why take a gap year? Do some travelling in the summer beforehand and just go straight to college.
