What should my dad's work buy him for a retirement present?? |
He is pretty difficult to buy for, he doesn't really have any hobbies as such, although he does want to get into photography once he's retired. He already has the thing he needs for photography, so there's no point them buying anything to do with that. He likes whisky, but a 拢100 pound bottle would be wasted on him really as he wouldn't really appreciate it. He's not into golf or any sports, as although he's quite fit he's not really sporty - he's almost 65. So I'm stuck for what to get them to buy him, he's not the engraved carriage clock or gold watch type. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I really want him to get a present he will remember/ Thanks they should give him a tidy sum of money and not just a friggin carriage clock....he needs money for his retirement...the least they could do is put their hands in their pockets....what's a soddin carriage clock gonna do?....he has enough time on his hands...let alone be reminded by a friggin clock why are you asking what your dad's firm should give him i don't understand what your asking really surely they will buy him what THEY think get him some diy tools he'll soon find a interest in repair and maintenance,when i retired i found it to be boring so i do crosswords and buy diy manuals for ideas Where I'm from...there are very few employers that will buy anything...the days of loyalty and appreciation are so long gone. It's very likely most people would be well to be able to retire. Too many companies are forcing workers to leave by treating them poorly. But if your dad is a lucky survivor...the company should give him a plaque and a check. You say he's got all the stuff for photography, but how much has he done so far? Maybe they could pay for him to go on some sort of course with a professional to get him started. or how about a tour of a whisky distillery? |
