Is there any special name for the cameras used by these wildlife photographer?

cameras with long lens for wildlife photography or even sport.

Well, my father was a wildlife photographer and he used a Minolta 800i 35mm camera when he was out there taking his photos. Some of his photos have appeared on the cover of wildlife magazines, one in particular was a prairie dog that looked as if he was right there beside it when he took the pic. He was actually about 100 feet away! You're sure to get many suggestions, and I'll let you know right away that the Minolta 800i is a very expensive camera.
Usually the camera is a professional model, and it depends on what kind of film it uses as to the name. 35mm, Medium format, or large. And these types come with variuos lenses to take far away shots called Telephoto lenses. To learn more search camera types at an online store like KEH or Wolf Camera.
The type of camera is called an SLR (Single-Lens Reflex). The greatest advantage this type of camera has is that the picture you take will be exactly (or as close as possible) what you see through the lens.

There are a few non-SLR cameras that can be used with different lenses, but SLRs offer the greatest amount of add-ons.

The camera bodies are probably the same as yours (35mm),but with the special coated telephoto lens (very expensive) are used for the long shot that seem close up..
most photographers use slide film with a slow speed (100asa)
A lot of them use a 2.25x2.25 large format picture
(approx. 4 of the 35 mm) so that the picture can be blown up to see the details not available in most 35 mm.

You also have the old hardliners that use a view camera
(any where from 2.25x2.25 to 8inx8in some use even larger) I owned a camera that took a 14x14 film sheet.]
Look at the pictures closely and you can see detail way
way beyond a 35mm
check out the Ansel Adams web site for examples of pictures taken with a view camera...
