How do i acquire a press photography pass. amatuer photography wanting to cover events.?


i am an amatuer photography but I was wondering what steps i have to take to be granted a press pass. for sporting events, news events, and things like this.


You really don't need a press pass for most events. If you act professionally and have professional equipment, most people will assume that you're a professional. In my many years as a photojournalist, I can only remember a handful of times that I needed to show press credentials.

If it is a pro sports event, then the need for a press pass arises. Other than that, you have the freedom to shoot and cover any public event as you see fit.
