How much do I charge for photography? |
I just started to try to make money with my photography. I have a very large sports bar that wants me to take photos and creat a slide show for there website How much should I charge them? Low enough to get business, high enough to make money. In all seriousness, though, it depends on so many factors. Look around, ask around, see what other people are charging. What sort of equipment do you use, how is the quality? You might talk to a business consultant or someone with a lot of knowledge about pricing and charging. Make sure you don't charge too much; you'll get a reputation for being pricey. Then again, if your work is worth it.... We can't really give you an idea online. Take your work to someone, a professional, and ask their advice. Good luck! supplies+ hourly rate (ie. 18/hr) x 2. I charge and artist fee but for simple documentary shots I wouldnt bother. Decide how much you want to make an hour, how much your supplies will cost and come up with an amount. Once you've come up with a figure, add 30% for tax (even if you aren't going to charge tax). I would come up with a figure just for the photo session, and a figure for the slide show. Ask for some money down so you don't get screwed. :) www.busybeeartistry.com |
