I'm into photography and would like to try sports photography at some football grounds, can anyone help? Click speed / Shutter speed is very important. For this reason, you might stick with a film camera rather than a digital. With a film camera, you'll want a fast film such as ISO 400 or higher (higher the number the less light required and the faster the shutter speed). With digital cameras, unless you really go very close to the top of the line, you're not likely to get one that will be fast enough. Ever notice that when you click a digital picture, it takes a minute to focus and adjust before it actually takes the picture ? The issue is that you'll want to get the shot of the moment ... not the moment after ! Good luck, but if you're looking at equipment, you're probably better off sticking w/ film cameras. The lenses will be a bit cheaper and easier to find than those on digitial cameras. Film expense and developing will be an issue as well, so you might consider borrowing someone's camera and giving it a try first. Good luck to you ! |
