A couple questions on stock photo sites and selling photography?

How much have you made per photograph?
Do you set the price of each?
How many times can purchaser use the photograph?

If you have sold a decent amount of images, what types tend to sell most? (please vecery specific,)

I think the best advice I can give you is to go to the local bookstore and purchase Stock Photo books. There is a ton and it gives a good starting point. The short answer to your questions is that there are a myriad of ways to use images for potential clients. Each "use" is specific. It's specific to size, where it will be used, how many copies and so on. Your price is based on that as well as the image itself. Obviously, if the image is a picture you took in your backyard you probably wouldn't charge as much as one you took of an active volcano.
I have sold images but to give you a price wouldn't really help you because the price has to be based on the things previoulsy listed. BUT, when I am stuck on what to price I will often research the stock photo sites to see what they quote for "usage fees" . Also, FOTOQUOTE is stock pricing software. I am thinking of purchasing it myself.
Shoot what you love. Develop a collection. What are your hobbies and what do you know about. Then it will develop into something you can sell.
One more thing, the usage agreement would state how and when the client can use the photo. For example they may be able to use it exclusively for 3 years on cards only. You would negotiate all of that based on their needs. (unless of course it's royalty free)

Hope that helps.
