What does "unlicensed stock photography" refer to? |
I'm doing a graphics project and the assignment says "don't use unlicensed stock photography"...but i'm not sure what that means. What websites can I use for photos/graphics? That means don't use any photographs that you do not have permission to use (stock or otherwise). Best thing would be to use your own original material (photographs, artwork, etc.) One way of thinking of it is to not use any photographs from the web, although there are sites where you can get permission (license) to use their material. Usually they have a link or disclaimer stating their use guidelines. (see plagiarism!) "Stock photography consists of existing photographs that can be licensed for specific uses. Book publishers, specialty publishers, magazines, advertising agencies, filmmakers, web designers, graphic artists, interior decor firms, corporate creative groups, and others use stock photography to fulfill the needs of their creative assignments." -- Wikipedia (please check link) Source(s): http://www.bigstockphoto.com/ http://www.dreamstime.com/ http://www.fotosearch.com/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/stock_photo... |
