Here are a couple of mine:
Use a digital camera and cheap plastic boxes to keep track of your stuff!! You can buy 18 gal boxes on sale for $3.50 each just number them and fill them with your stuff then take them one at a time and place the stuff on a table and photograph it. Put all the pictures in a single file and use a program to look thru them when you want to find something (I use one called Pho Tags Express which gives you thumbnails of all the pictures in a folder and allows you to go thru them as fast as 1 per sec but I'm sure other programs do the same). Stack all the boxes against a wall somewhere and you will be all set. You can also photgraph things that are in drawers and cabinets and the like. Spend the time once and you won't regret it.
Want to save on heating and make your home a little more humid in the winter? Take a bath instead of a shower and don't let the water run out of the tub until it reaches room temperature. Go back to "your" cave cowboy doc. Did you finish high school there buddy? The proper contraction for "you are" is "you're" not "your" .
