im making a film and im using a digital video camera. will the quality in my picture be less than if i was using a camera traditionally used in movies?

35mm film cameras costs thousands and sometimes the cost of film is so expensive million dollar movies opt for cheaper alternatives.

There will be an enormous difference. If you have the money rent the best digital video cam possible.

Yeah. A very big difference.

A professional digital camera has a very good video quality, a quality I believe to be good enough for the silver screen. However, 35mm cameras are still much better.
When budgeting you have to be very careful about cost/benefit, though.
