I'm having trouble transferring some pictures from my camera to my computer?

I have a digital camera. It has a memory card. I've been using it now for about two years so I do know what I'm doing. I took some pictures the other day and went to transfer the images to my computer, but they wouldn't all pull. I tried with the usb cable and I tried by inserting the card in my computer. Both ways had the same end result. I checked the settings of the pictures that did transfer and compared them to the ones that would not transfer, and they appeared to be the same.

Any idea what might be happening?

Marla don't do a disc clean hes crazy. I'll email

if your computer is used alot you might not have enough memory space to transfer anything else in.
If you left click on your start bar then all programs then accessories then disk clean up. it should remove any old crap and give you more disk space then try your pictures again.

Yes. It is Broken

hmmm, if you have 2 computers, try noth pcs and see which one works. it is not only the digital camera usb that sometimes does not appear. i have experinced so much times that my usb will not be detected or has nothing inside. try using another place to transfer your stuff.... Good Luck!

Yes you need to go to control panel and switch off Perv Blocker. Alternatively just email the pictures to me and I'll send them to Tyler.

Well, it may depend on the warnings you received. If the images did transfer, then the second time they may have refused to overwrite the images alread transferred.

Alternatively, you may have files with the same name on the computer, and thus the software may refuse to transfer the new photos because the names are identical (thus protecting you from wiping out your older photos by accident).

If the photos on the computer are identical to the ones on the card and they did successfully transfer, then I would make sure you format the card--it may be corrupted in some way--and do some test shots and transfers before taking any critical pictures. (Ah the beauty of digital--no cost for testing).

If you do get errors during your testing, then throw the card away and get a new memory card. Make sure you format the old card (a full format, not a quick one) on your computer before you throw it away, or someone may be able to recover your photos. Or you could physically destroy the card to be sure.

I hope it's just a momentary glitch and nothing serious.

You have to make sure everything is correct to do that or you are just having a problem with your computer.
