What is the best way to take digital pictures of my artwork?? |
I am trying to take pictures of my art work from my digital camera to post on the net, however the small details do not show up, or they look blurry. My Charcol drawing look great, however my pencil and pen works look really bad. I have turned off the flash and used other light sources, but I still get a bad reflection. Please help!!! well the good thing about digital is that you can keep shooting work and trying without a lot of printing costs. Have you tried the cropping software that came with your camera? Once you get rid of the background with cropping, you might find the image isn't so bad, or at least not as bad as it might look on the digital screen as you are taking the photos. TRY THE ZOOM BUTTON SO YOU CAN FOCUS ON ALL THE FEATURES OF THE PICTURE Well, if you want to do great close ups, and you're using a consumer camera, you're not going to have much luck. consumer camera's can only get about 4 feet away and stay in focus. If you have a camera with interchangable lenses, you can get a macro lense, that let's you get up close. I would use an alternative light source, but if you HAVE to use the flash make sure it's diffused, you can do this by putting tissue paper, or fabric softner over the flash bulb. GOOD LUCK!!! That's the Simple ways, you need to use another flash or second flashes for controlling the backdrops lighting conductions, right exposures(Apertures),shutter speed and also your photographic techniques ,don't need to use pen, pencil, charcol drawing pencil to made pictures of art work ,the quality of pictures will be the best one. i use a SLR NIKON CAMERA.....I PLACE THE ARTWORK ON THE FLOOR ON A LARGE MATTE SURFACE BACKGROUND.I MOUTN THE CAMERE ON A POLE SIX FEET FROM THE GROUNG. I USE PHJOTOGRAPHY UMBRELLOWS BOUCNING THE LIGHT AWAY FROM THE OBJECT.OPPOSITE DIRECTIONS. I USE NO |
