Reduce file size?

How do you reduce the size of jpg/jpeg files? I just got married yesterday and have just enough time to post the pictures (parties, parties, I've forgotten what sleep is *not just parties wink wink*) My mom used my digital camera to take the pictures and I don't know much about a camera except to point and shoot. Please help! Thanks :)

Or you can resize online. Here are some free ones you could try:

I think what you are trying to achieve is a reduction of the overall size so they could go on a web page or something. You can either do it as a percentage or by pixel size. Just play around until you get the size you think is right. Here is a resizing tutorial for paint.net:

I think the online resizers are probably self-explanatory. Though I haven't actually tried one.
