Quick question??

Do all digital cameras use the same memory card? I'v been looking for a bigger memory card for a digital Cannon camera that i have but all the ones i found looked the same! Do they all use the same kind!

To add to the info above...

All digital cameras do NOT use the same memory card, but any one particular digital camera would require the same TYPE of memory card.

If your camera takes a "Secure Digital" card - commonly called an "SD" card - it can use any number of SD cards. We speak of different sizes, but the physical size of all the different "size" cards is identical for all the SD cards. It's all done inside the card electronically when they make the card.

So - a 64 KB card, which is rather "small," looks identical to a 4 GB card, which is "huge." Before you buy any memory cards, be sure to check in your owner's manual to see how large a card your camera can address. Some can not take advantage of the larger memory capacities, so it's a waste of money to pay for the additional memory.

a mojorady of digital cameras use the same card but the size of the cvard might differ

no some have mini SD cards and others Have standard ones. check the manual or the website of the digital camera.

No there a lot of different types out there.
Look for SD or Mini SD or Compact flash.
Compact flash is about 1.5 inchs by 1 inch in size
SD (Secure digital) is about 1 inch by 3/4 inch in size
Mini SD is tiny.

I'ts not true..

If you have a Canon DSLR the card is a CF. All DSLR cameras use CF cards (except for the Fujifilm FinePix S3 Pro which uses either a CF or xD-Picture Card)

No, there are many different types of memory cards - here's a good explanation of the current crop of memory cards:

Be sure to get the memory card types that works with your digital camera. Check the users guide, or take your camera to a electronics store and ask for assistance. Good luck.

You don't say what model Canon you have, but Canon's point and shoot cameras all use SD cards, as far as I know. If you go to www.dpreview.com you can look up the specs for your particular model. Or check your owner's manual.
