I need more high speed USB ports, help? For my printer, camera, and iPod...? |
All the USB ports on my computer are taken up by devices. I need to purchase something so I can connect my new Epson Stylus Photo RX580 printer, plus my iPod, and digital camera all at the same time using high speed USB ports... External USB Hub. well it depends is it a laptop or a desktop but both can be solved by a usb hub their 19.99 at best buy and they give you 4 more usb inputs. in you have a laptop u can use a pcmcia card that will give u more usb's or on a desktop use a pci usb card they inside the computer but that should solve ur problem okay goodl luck You can get a USB hub at just about any stores like Walmart, Bestbuy, Staples,Office Depot,...............Get one that has 8 ports so you can connect all your devices at the same time. One the best usb hub is the ones from Belkin. Get a USB2 hub. But it also depends on whether your computer has got USB2 port. If your USB port is only 1.1 then the hub speed will also work at 1.1 even though you bought a USB2. If you only have two USB ports in your computer you will need to install a new USB 2.0 card in your a PCI slot found in the back of the computer, as a camera will not work from a hub, nor will an iPod. |
