I have two questions
1.Do you think that the special effects in the movies have reached their limit, that they are perfect now(i for one don't see any progress since LOTR)?
2.Has the shooting of the movies reached it's limit.I mean the quality of the picture(noise, white balance etc. basicly the same flaws that we have in digital photos using digital cameras).I've seen some old DVDs like Conan and IMO they were perfect back then(maybe a bit more blur and some noise on the dark scenes but the colours, lightning looked perfect to me). What do you think(on both questions :) ). Haha, nope graphics will keep going better and better. Think about it, the Xbox has better graphics that many movies. haha
In fact, many experts, including Microsoft experts, say that in 2050, general PC technology will reach its maximum and Quantum Technology will be its successor.
So basically, until 2050, graphics capabilities will continue to improve a little here and there, even if it's unnoticable. In fact, every 6 months or so, a new generation in graphics designs is upon us. I think that graphics have hit their plateau for now. Until some new widget comes along or someone revolutionizes some computer program.
I think that movies rely on far too much CGI and other special effects. Those movies usually lack in a good script and/or actors, I miss the good old days of Hollywood when a bunch of really great actors could turn out fabulous movies with little or no special fx. (I'm only 25 btw) |
