I'm trying to see if I can leave one of my chargers at home. I have two devices that require 5V. One requires 2.3A the other 1.2A. I've tried switch the chargers around and they seem to work fine. I'm curious to know if long term use of higher or lower amperage will harm the devices. sometimes , but dont worry about it Usually the device will take the current it needs so having some overhead is a good thing. However, if it's a cheap charging circuit and connects directly to the batteries, then usually you want to limit the current to trickle charge them. So it really depends on the device... |
