How do you convert joined media clips from a digital camera to a dvd format?

I have joined many small clips together using media join. I now have one large file that is in a .wmv format. I was able to burn that file to a dvd using nero and I can watch it on my computer but I would like to be able to view the "movie" on my home dvd player. What is the best way to do this.

There are programs to convert media formats. Nero seems to be the industry standard these days.
