What digital camera would you recommend for under $130.00. See note:? |
This is a present for my mom, who isn't so great when it comes to technology. I'd like to stay under $130.00 and just would like for it to be good quality and easy for her to use and catch on to. She'll basically just be using it to take/develop pics and email pics. Stay with a major camera manufacturer, Canon, Nikon, Olympus or Kodak. The Kodak easyshare cameras are actually not bad and maybe easier to get the hang of. go to best by and either by panasonic or sony. Canon i can tell you, you should try and stay in the brand of canon or olympus.. I actually think Vupoint cameras are really good for their price. I bought one for 15.00 at a drugstore and its taken crisp clear pics. they have some for around 50.00 I believe. U might be able to find some on ebay, rite aid, or eckerd. I love my Kodak. Easy to use, easy to learn software and takes wonderful pictures. They have a range of different prices, check'em out. im getting an Exilim camera. the one i want is 180 but i know there are cheaper ones, and they are on sale now so hurry and get them! olympus camedia..about $125..kool camera D-545 ZOOM...4.0 MEGAPIXELS....ITS GREAT..I HAVE ONE...AND IM CRAP AT TECHNOLOGY...brought mine from best buy The Fujifilm Finepix has a model that is small, easy to use and usually costs around $120 Its what I'm asking for for christmas. I think the best deal of the season is the Canon Powershot A530. It has been on sale at numberous big box stores below $130. That's a good price on a good camera. The A530 was selling for $180 not too long ago. I've recommended this camera within my own family, so I'll be living with the results of this recommendation right along with you. Normally, I tell people to spend a little money on a decent memory card, but you are giving this as a gift, so let your mom buy her own upgrade memory card. The camera comes with a 16 MB card, so that's okay to start with. She will want a 256 MB or 512 MB card soon, though. Fujifilm's Finepix line of cameras have really great color due to their proprietary super-CCD technology. Their lenses are quite good also. The cheapest is the A400 which would have all the features you mother would want or need. It's price is under $100 (I think RitzCamera.com was selling them for about $80 on sale). I would suggest moving up to the A500 (maybe $30 or $40 more) because it's lens is a bit better and will take better pictures when the light isn't so good. The Samsung S500 is a good entry-level camera that takes great pictures. get a sony camera.I use one.Good for emailing. No need to install.Provide good effect. Hi, |
