Help with digital cameras?

I'm looking for a new digital camera, easy to use, point and shoot, 3 or 4 zoom, 6mp or better, I want to take pics of my granddaughter, who moves a round too much, so I need to be able to take pictures in quick sucession. Any good ideas. Price 150.00 to 250.00 range. My sony just went capooey.

If you want to take 'action shots' (as in moving granddaughter) you may need to consider upgrading to a dslr. Most point-n-shoot digitals have a time lag between when you press the button and when the picture is taken.

I know it's out of your price range, but consider a Nikon D40 ($599) or a used dslr.

the best cameras out there are made by cannon. they are very easy to navigate, light weight, and take amazing photos. great for beginners and advanced photographers. trust me i have owned many digital cameras. cannon is the best...and its in your price range.

Shutter lag is going to be your bigest problem in that price range. P&S cameras for the most part all have plenty of shutter lag. And yes, Canon cameras are just as slow as the other major brands. That being said, a used canon G6 on E-bay will be in that price range and it has very little shutter lag and will take great pics. DLH

Try Canon Powershopt A460. 5.0 mega pixels, 4 optical zoom. It cost about $279 at Audio House plus free gift. Canon produces good camera.
