Can anyone recommend a digital camera with an excellent movie mode with sound that doesn't cost the earth?

I'm a professional singer and I want to use it to capture footage of me singing on stage to add to my website and perhaps create short DVD copies. The sound quality has to be quite good and easily transferrable to a website. Also, where is the cheapest place to buy this type of camera? I'm looking to spend up to 拢100.

I agree with Agent 86, you've no chance of getting the best of both worlds on that kind of budget.

I have a Ricoh Caplio R4. It's brilliant but is around 拢250... ouch

Make sure you have a decent memory card, not a 256 jobby.

Otherwise, try to befriend a sound engineer on a radio station or a cameraman (/woman) for they telly hopefully they can borrow the stuff for personal use.

I bought a Samsung L50 camera from Boots (on special offer) and it is absolutely brilliant. The memory chip holds around 200 photos and it will take 2 or more 20 minute movie clips with sound and has tons of other features. I think it cost about 拢120.00.

The mobile phone Samsung s500i at 75ukp is really very good both for still and video.

k750i but i think it's slightly more than a 100. Look it up. It has wicked video and camera, the best for its price, sound on it is good but when talking on the phone it's quite crap. But fot what you want it for it's the best.

There is this Sony CyberShot camera that has a 2.4" LCD display, 3x zoom, and 6.1 mp. It only costs about $200.

I recommend recording the sound separately and then dubbing over the video. You may like the video quality of smaller inexpensive cameras but you won't like the sound.

Fuji f30 is very good camera,point and shoot.

You will be very disappointed with the sound quality on any camera if you are a pro singer, and the movie quality will be poor as the cheaper cameras fall way short in low light.
Use you 拢100 to get a keen amateur to take some footage or try film students.
