My dad wants a camera but is not technologically proficiant. Do you know one that is easy to use with a PC. Not looking to spend alot, right now he is in the 130 dollar ballpark but I may be able to get him higher if need be. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?... The Nikon Coolpix L series or the Canon PowerShot A series are good choices. I prefer nikon, for a few reasons, such as:
1. Menu Assist which gives a brief description of any menu function.
2. Face-priority auto focus which automatically centers the focus on faces in the picture...Great for kids.
3. D-Lighting which is software built into the camera to lighten any picture taken.
Most of these features can be used with one-button operation. Canon is a great camera as well, my preference for Nikon in a personal preference. They should start between $120-$150 so not too bad. I would also recommend a memory card reader which makes transfer of images to computer much easier. i have two 5 years old video cam recorder .... any buys ?? There is only one truly excellent camera in that price range.
The Fuji F20.
it's currently $131.99 at NewEgg, and there's a $30 rebate for it if you know where to find it. Oh- you'll need to spend another $20 on an xD memory card. my suggestion
