Are there any digital cameras you can use for black and white photos?

Are there any cameras out there with this option? I'm new to this digital camera thing.

Pretty much all of them will allow B&W shooting under the "color" menu or "white balance" menu or somewhere in the menu structure. If not, you can always take the color out in almost any image processing software with one simple step.

Any of them. Most have an option to change the "mode" to B&W, but even if they don't, you can change the pic later using software on your PC (Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, etc.)

Almost all digital cameras have an option to take B&W pictures, as well as Sepia tones, and many other choices. Also, most digital printers allow you to print your pictures in B&W and many other choices. The only thing I recommend is getting the camera with the largest megapixels you can afford, that way, you can crop and zoom in on sections of your pictures with less quality loss. If you are a professional, go with a 10.2 megapixel or higher, if not 7.2 is very good, Thats what I have. If you are into lenses, get a camera that is an SLR type so you can change lenses.

wouldn't you be able to state black and white at the printer?

im pretty sure all do - there should be an option in the menu of all digital cameras to change it to sepia (olden day looking photos) color or black and white - even if your camera doesnt have this option when you get the pictures developed you can have them developed in black and white.

hey girlfriend they are easy to play with just muck around with your camera (when u buy it)they are great for the simple reason you can delete your pics so play with it take lots of photos with the different settings im sure after a day or so you will be a pro at it b&w sepia zoom the settings you will know it all they are heaps of fun and great to have with you all the time
