Digital camera? Could someone tell me what is the best?

I want the biggest bang for my buck. I am looking to spend no more than $150. I want a digital camera that takes good quality photos, has good zoom, and can record a video if I want it to possibly with audio. I've done some research online but I want everyones general opinions. What camera do you recommend? What has worked best for you? What is the worst product you've used? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you

Panasonic DMC-LZ2 --- bought (2) online @ Panasonic -
Full price was $300 each - NOW it's LESS - you can get one for about your price range . . . see 'source' listing below

Have one for my grave photo projects since mid '05 - works so well (and easily) that my friend/partner bought one also, after he did extensive, in-depth research on it . . . we use them all the time for archive photo records at a web site, but have not used them for video with sound yet. (Not much sound or movement to record in cemeteries!).

It is my understanding that one can do such, with this camera, if one has backup batteries on hand. . . video uses lots of power.

I appreciate your statement "biggest bang for the buck" - especially with all the available choices out there today. Good luck to you in your shopping venture.

sony cybershot I think you can get one for about 150ish

Nikon is the best!

Although there are better, for the price range you are looking I like the Kodak EasyShare. I can't recall which model is about that price... just remember when you are looking the more pixels the better quality the photos. There is also an HP model that is pretty good for that price range as well. Hope this helps!

Well...I have a Kodak EasyShare Digital Camera with 5.0 Mega Pixles (the more pixels the better), it takes great pictures, it has the option for video and audio even though the audio isn't that great. But for $150 you're not going to get the best of the best, but you can still get a good camera for taking pictures.

I agree with the sony cybershot. It will take amazing pictures. Check out newegg.com for good prices. Ebay will have good deals for that price.

i would reccomed any canon or nikon camera with that price range. i like konica minolta but they are very pricey

Be sure to get a mechanical zoom and not a digital zoom. The mechanical zoom has a lense that moves in and out to zoom, a digital zoom does not.

I have had very good luck with my Kodak EasyShare CX6330. Great quailty, easy as pie to operate. A new Easyshare model is available, I'm sure.

Good luck!

i think you can go for Canon or Nikon

There is some useful advice here.
