I have a Sony digital camera. I am using the automatic setting but the photos are coming out dark.?

I thought the automatic setting would automatically take care of all adjustments. Can someone tell me how to prevent taking dark photos??

maybe your finger is covering the flash or part of the lens.
I had that happen to me.
also try, go into menu and reset the camera.

You need to increase the ISO setting... make it 400. Should work for you.
