ZOOM BROKEN ON DIGITAL CAMERA...how do i fix this?? (emergency)?

Ok so my mom just got a Fujifilm FinePix F10 digital camera (she hasn't even used it yet) and i was playing around with it when it got dropped on the road! The zoom thing is won't go back in, because the top half is bent so that part of it got pushed in and the other side did not. When I turn on the camera it says "ZOOM ERROR". I can't afford to replace it and I don't know if this problem would be covered by warranty. Is there any way I can fix it myself? If not would it be covered in the warranty? PLEASE let me know so i can fix this. :-(

How can you even consider thinking about fixing it yourself when you can't even be trusted to hold onto and look after someone else's brand new camera without "playing around with it" and dropping it?
Just keep your hands off it...and hope and pray that the warranty will cover it.
If it doesn't...then start saving your pennies.

Wow, you might be in big trouble. Check to see if it's covered under warranty. That's the only thing you can do. Call any 800 number they have.

I work in a camera shop and
sell those you wont be covered by your 12 month warrenty but if you go back to the shop and just say my mum did not take out the extended warrenty but i want to take it out for her then wait a few days and claim for accidental damage they do insurance from as little as 2 pounds a month good luck xxx

Tell your Mom what happened, say you are so very sorry and know you did wrong, cry and pout and look real sad! Then let her see about getting it fixed and take your punishment, and remember the parents rule "if it does not belong to you, don't touch it!"

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.

it can upload/download your camera to your PC.

It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video clips.

you can make your ablum with picasa very easy.

It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google
