DIGITAL CAMERA ZOOM BROKEN.....please help me its an emergency?

Ok so my mom just got a Fujifilm FinePix F10 digital camera (she hasn't even used it yet) and i was playing around with it when it got dropped on the road! The zoom thing won't go back in, because the top half of it is bent so that part of it got pushed in and the other side did not. When I turn on the camera it says "ZOOM ERROR". I can't afford to replace it and I don't know if this problem would be covered by warranty. Is there any way I can fix it myself? If not would it be covered in the warranty? PLEASE let me know so i can fix this. :-(

You're screwed, unless she also bought the "all peril extended warranty" that cost half as much as the camera.

take it back to the shop and replace it, or replace it on the household insurance, if you have any.

go buy anothre one, then take the broken one back in the new one's box! yes, its illegal, but u wont be in trouble!
