I'll be taking some pictures in low light with a Sony CyberShot DSC-W30. Would it (or any digital camera) be less sensitive to light if I use the full 6 megapixel setting? Would the 2 or 3 megapixel setting work better in low light?
(BTW, I don't recommend this camera.. the features are great, but the image quality is much grainier with less color richness and less light sensitivity than other brands... nonetheless, it's the camera I'm stuck with.) No, the megapixel setting only affects the overall size of the photo. More megapixels allows you to print out larger prints of the picture without it looking pixelated.
However, the resolution/megapixel setting would not affect light sensitivity at all. the resolution has nothing to do with light
the iso setting has to do with light |
