Which is the best digital camera for personal use? |
Which is the best digital camera for personal use? Digital cameras are basically small PCs, not cameras like the 35mm, so don't assume the best camera maker is the best digital camera maker. Kodak has done very well with their Easy-share cameras, Nikon, so-so. Canon is generally a very good choice (they have made both PCs & cameras for years, as has Sony.) Check reviews on websites like www.digitalcamera.com, and remember a few points; electronics need power, if the batteries aren't up to the job, they may just shut down! The more digital zoom you use, the more suseptable to shaking (blur) you will have. Canon Ixus Digital 5MP. Best personal camera I've ever owned. a small camera with 5 meg pix of a good make ie sony is best for normal use. The smaller the better because you will use it more. Getting top quality shots go for high end with zoom lens etc.. i have a kodak easyshare with printer dock. it's really easy 2 use, u can store email addresses in it so when u upload the pics onto the computer u can email them easily, and u can instantly tag a picture u want 2 print so it will be 1 of the first pics u print. it also has a rechargable battery that has a really long life, if u need a replacement u can get 2 4 拢7.99 on the kodak website. Agree Canon very good. I have the 600 model. Bought it on line from Amazon and took advantage of credit card deal (Minus $40.00). As I recall it was under $300.00. It also takes SD memory (very inexpensive) By searching the web I bought Batteries for about $8.00. Kodak Easyshare C300. It's inexpensive and very portable. It only costs about $100+. (not exact price) It's so easy to use. sony cyber-shot dsc w100.i have a plan to buy it.its the best. Thank you "topcat_TEC" for a well written opinion. helped me. kodak easy share chk details of all major camera brands and reveiews and dealer directory at topcat-TEC has given you some good advice, except on batteries. Do not waste your money on Nicads, buy Nimh batteries. Pentax Optio The Panasonic Lumix FZ7 is one of the best cameras on the market. It has the largest optical zoom of any non-SLR camera (12x). It has a 2.5" LCD screen with a High-Angle mode that allows you to take pictures easily in crowds. It also has a simple mode for beginners and a full manual mode for more advanced users. Its video is superb. Even better, it comes with a lens adapter and lens hood to minimize glare. Since you haven't give details of the nature of personal use like whether you would like to click landscape, portraits, wildlife etc, I won't be able to give a detailed answer. So Please check www.dpreview.com for an exhaustive list of cameras and reviews and you should be able to make a decision. |
