Is it easier to use a docking station for a digital camera or just plug the camera directly to the computer?

I have been having problems transfering my digital pic's from the camera to my computer and was wondering if using a docking station would be easier? Has anyone had any problems transferring pictures using a docking station?

I assume that by docking station you mean a memory card reader (to plug your camera's memory card in). I found that the memory card reader works a lot faster than connecting the camera to the computer.
To move the files from your memory cards is the same as moving any files from one place to another on your computer (the memory card will show up as a removable disk).

I never had a problem either way, unless you consider being slow is a problem (for the camera connected to the computer).

It works the exact same way (both are USB). The only difference is that you don't have to get a cable out every time. You might want to look into getting a memory card reader.
