I have a sd memory card for a digital camera how do i delete pics?

I HAVE DELETED PICS USING CAMERA, BUT WHEN I PUT THE CARD INTO A CARD READER IT STILL HAS PICTURES ON SO PLEASE HELP I NEED TO FREE UP THE SPACE ON THE SD MEMORY CARD

how do i open the card on my computor to delete the pictures

1.) Make sure that you are deleting your pictures correctly through the camera (some of the menu systems on camera's are very confusing)

2.) When in doubt look through the users guide and find out how to format your card, but make sure that all your pictures are safely saved on your computer before doing so as this function will delete everything on your card.

3.) Place your card in the reader on your computer, find your drive (usually an F or something like that), and delete your pictures that way.

Also, make sure that your card is not locked (on the side there is a white tab) One position is locked, the other is not (on the SD card I have in my hand if the tab is closer to the gold contacts its unlocked and if it's closer to the bottom of the card it's locked)

Have you tried putting all your pictures onto your computer, or a CD/DVD. Also on your camera you should have a button that says delete. Go into review, when the picture comes up push delete. It should ask if you want to delete all or just picture. select all. It might also help if you described what camera you have.
