What features should i look for in a digital camera? |
i want to buy a digital camera for home use. I am looking for one with an internal memory of some sorts. i think only sony cybershot offers that. can somebody also tell me what is a docking station in a digital camera. A Docking station is a device that would let you email images directly, charge your camera batteries, assist you in printing if you have a printer and etc etc... Basically it is supposed to make your life simpler, but I have never found it useful though. Nice info! Report It basically, the higher the pixels, the better quality the pictures are going to be.Most of the digital cameras nowadays have internal memory but they're not that big which is why it's best to buy a memory card so you can store more pictures.A docking station is a device you put your camera on to either charge the battery or download your pictures onto your computer/printer.Also a big zoom lens is good. I have a Casio Exilim with no manual telephoto. It is VERY small and thin, takes pictures perfectly well for home use (3.2 megapixels) and small enough for emails, and 30-second mpegs with sound. A docking station charges up your rechargeable battery in your camera or may also print your pics as well. I just bought my second Kodak digital camera a c875. Focus on getting the highest optical zoom you can on your camera. It's best for zooming in. Don't worry too much about the digital zoom number. Aim for a higher megapixel if you want to blow up some pics. My new one is 8mp, but my 4 mp camera did lovely 8x10 enlargements. I would get one with memory card so you can take it to get prints. I don't know how you would do that with an internal memory, unless you copy them to a cd first. With the memory card, I can also take video, with sound. And heck, I just got a 1gb card for 10 bucks that can hold over 350 pics! Look for these feature:- I suggest |
