I am looking to buy a new digital camera, I had a 5.1 MP Sony and it broke after 3 years of extensive use. I use my camera at all times: outdoors, in family events, taking pics of my son, and also indoors for taking pictures of my cakes and sweets for my website (I'm a cake decorator).
I am trying to decide between a Sony DSC-W90 or the Sony H7 model. Both are different as far as style and size (and price too). The only differences I am considering are the optical zoom and flash range.
Which one is better for me??? Any help will be appreciated! Why don't you switch brands..
look at these impressive stats for less than $200
The best camera for under $200 is the Canon A550
* 7.1 Megapixel
*4X Optical Zoom
* Very good photo quality, noise levels low through ISO 400 (in good light)
* Well built for the price
* Very good performance
* LCD visible in low light
* Some manual controls
* AF-assist lamp, good low light focusing
* Good movie and continuous shooting modes
* Impressive software bundle
* Uses AA batteries; great battery life
* USB 2.0 High Speed support I have the Canon Powershot SD 550. I have had this camera for a year now and love it. No problems at all. Cost around $300.00 While I was searching to buy this camera I found this web site that really helped me decide which one to buy. http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/ . Here you can see in high detail the differences between your two choices and which one they liked. I hope this helped. I'm looking for a new digital camera too, and I am trying to decide between a couple of Canon models...
If you want to stick with Sony because of the same memory card, I'd go with the H7. They are both 8MP, but it has a better optical zoom. You said you use a camera everywhere, and I think the H7 has more features that you would be able to take advantage of, like the long-range flash and the sports-mode (good for quick kids!).
Good luck! I really like the H7
