I would like to buy a digital camera(home use), which brand model is mostly recommended?, my budget is USD400? While I love Nikon cameras, I'd suggest the Canon A620. We did a lot of shopping while trying to stay in the under $400 range and this is exactly what we bought for our adult son before he went on a trip to Europe. For that money, you can get the camera and a one gigabyte memory card. The A620 lets you control everything, if you know how, or it takes great shots in several automatic modes. This has been the Comcast Shopping Top Choice for months now. It uses "AA" batteries, too. Don't buy a Canon..big time junk....I'd suggest a Sony W-30.. You do not specify if you want interchangable lens etc, or if you are familiar with mega pixels. The higher the mp the better. If you want a point and shoot there are many many on the market within your budget. If you want a more professional rig, there are some great deals on ebay for olympus evolt systems. Use a sniping system and decide how much you are willing to bid, and be patient. The evolt 300 is somewhat cheaper than the e500 which I got that way. Pictures I took with mine can be viewed at http://www.silvaspoon.net Spend some time online researching the features of a digital camera and what they mean. There are many things to consider and grasp before you make the big purchase. I have owned 2 sony digital cameras and I could not reccomend them more. I just got the second, the sony N1. It is 450$ though. If I were you I would get the sony t9 (I think that's what it's called). A good all around digital camera size is the compact. It is not too small to create difficulties with use and not too big to be bulky. You don't need to spend $400.00 to get an excellent camera.
