Need recommendation for a digital camera. Will use for snapshots, will rarely make prints bigger than 5X7.?

Want camera w/ easy-to-see display. Prefer camera w/ feature that reduces or eliminates distortion due to shaking, if that is available for still cameras. Will use for variety of snapshots including travel photos and landscape shots. Also want camera that works well with an Apple iMac computer.

The Canon D2X is the bets digital camera in the market today quality wise.

I dont know about compatability with an Apple iMac, but I just got a Nikon CoolPix S1 and i love it. it has an auto-focus that reduces shaky pictures, and the landscape mode is my favorite. I bought the camera, and a 512MB memory card for around $200+tax. I got it at BestBuy, but im sure you could find it anywhere.

First buy as much mexapixels as possible, because you will be able to crop your pictures and not experience as much pixelation. Stay with your major brands and look for one that feels good in your hands, has a memory card type that you may be using in another device such as a pda, digital video camera. I'd look for as large of a lcd as possible and something with as much optical zoom as possible, because digital zoom just blows up your original picture and will increase pixelation, Image stabilization is also a big plus.
