How can i get an image of my desktop without using a digital camera?are there any programes that do this?

hit the "print screen" button on your keyboard. then open a Word document and "paste".

Hueyhidiesomethingsomethingho's right. There's a couple ways to do this actually.

To get the screenshot: Hit Print screen for an image of your entire desktop OR hold down alt+print scrn to get just a shot of the window you have currently selected. You won't notice anything happen at all.

To see the screenshot: Open Microsoft Word, Wordpad, or Microsoft Paint then select Edit > Paste, and you'll see the image you just took.

yeah hit the page up button (sometimes called 'pgup' on the keyboard) but paste it in paint (start-->accessories-->paint).. that way you can save it as a picture and not as a word document

Normally if you have a laptop you might have to use the print screen button though the holding the "Fn" button and some other key such as insert. But as soon as you hit the button you can paste it anywhere, I would say teh best place to paste is in Paint, since you can save it as .jpg .gif or .bmp .
