I am looking for an easy to use, compact digital camera for my wife. What models should I be looking at? I won't suggest a particular model but here are some of the things you may wish to consider. Mega-pixels: six should be ample. Zoom: 3 or 4 times (equivalent to 35 to 105 or 140mm). Battery: AAs are preferred. Viewfinder: optical viewfinder extends battery life. LCD: 2.5 inch. Lens Cap: automatic. Size: How, where will it be carried? Image stabilization and high ISO are all the rage but I would forget both. How easy is it to recharge the battery and download the pics to a computer? What's the flash range? I'd start by looking at Kodak and Canon. Good luck. Really any of the Kodak cameras are good. I have one of the Kodak easy share cameras which cost about $150-$220 and it's really nice. Simple to use and tiny. If your looking for really compact you may want to look into Olympus for the slide in your pocket type of thing. Personally I use Nikon products and they have always been great. The HP Photosmart M525. I have one and its great. Takes nice, clear photos. Very easy to use. Can also take very good video with nice audio quality. And they're pretty cheap. go for sony cybershot dsc-t100 my suggestion canon powershot A630.. I have good experiences with Canon and Casio. Kodak for me I have the V1003 and so far its a real nice easy camera to work and takes great pictures.Price $249.00 I work in a photo lab and was looking for a new camera. I spent about 6 months asking my customers what they had, did they like it, not like it, etc. Based on there answers i deceided to get either something in the Kodak easyshare line or the canan power shot. Then, I did research on my own about those two lines and decieded to go with the kodak easyshare z710. I couldn't be happier. It's so easy to understand. There are a lot of features that once you are used to the camera you can play around with, but you don't need them for quality pictures. |
