Can i use my digital camera as a webcam, if so how? like to use in msn and skype?EDITED: You say your camera is a Kodak Easyshare v1003. I don't think it's possible to use it as a webcam. It takes videos and stores them on its memory card, but it doesn't send a video signal straight to your PC that you can use with a webcam program. I used to have a Kodak DX and that couldn't be a webcam either - it will automatically go to sleep after a few minutes, so it won't be able to send a constant video stream to a program.
That other guy is right - you can get a decent webcam for under $20 (if your computer already has a microphone), so you should do that instead.
Still sorry, but that 10 megapixel Easyshare is a bit of overkill for a webcam anyway. Why would you want to use a $100-400 camera as a $35 webcam?
Webcams have very low resolution and do video streaming. Digital cameras have high resolution and take individual shots or save video to a memory card. |
