Sun shining on digital camera screens.. any ideas on how to combat the problem of only seeing your reflection? |
Everytime we use our digital camera when its sunny, we're unable to see the view on the screen as its so shiny we can only see our refelection. Can anyone recommend any solutions or anything clear and matt that i could stick on it to help? We're really stuck!!! if you have a view finder - use it Photographic shops sell a folding 'hood' that sticks over the screen. Ordinary sticky-backed plastic (available in stationers) is usually textured, so it might also help. That's about the only time you should use the camera's viewfinder instead of the screen. Just remember to keep your fingers and camera strap away from the lens, since you won't be able to notice it looking through the viewfinder. clean it If you're using a digital SLR, you can try a flip up cap from a company called Hoodman (hoodmanusa.com). They also have LCD covers to protect and reduce glare from point and shoot LCDs. |
