Camera picture quality..?

I recently went to a concert and brought my camera for some nice pics... but a lot of the pictures turned out very blurry. The camera I used was a Kodak Easyshare C513 - 3x Optical zoom - 5.0 megapixels... Here are 2 of the pictures...

I did use zoom because I was no where near close enough, but I believe I stayed off the digital zoom because I heard it messes with the picture quality. I was wondering what I should look for in a camera for better picture quality. A price around $300 would be nice. I don't know what to look for in a camera for better picture quality, so any websites or tips on what to look for would be appreciated.

Well, I have read the manual... its not that helpful (at least I think) I have tried it on al lthe settings (landscape, dark, Auto, etc) It's even blurry close up... usually has tiny orange and red dots on the screen... not a pretty picture.

All of the major brands are good. Choose a brand that appeals to you. Then you have to think about getting a spare battery, what size memory card, if you want an extended warranty, how much you can afford, what size zoom, if you want manual controls, the size of the camera, finding a reliable place to purchase it, and the list goes on and on and on.......

The first thing to realize is that almost any digital camera will take good pictures. If more people would read the manual more than once, they would be able to take better pictures. Usually, the person assumes it is the camera when it could be them not knowing exactly what to do. Just give yourself more photographic knowledge by doing more reading on the internet.

I really believe buying a camera is an individual choice.
The person needs to read alot of reviews on cameras so they can decide on the features that they really want and need.
Go to the store and hold them so you can see if they feel comfortable in your hands. If possible, take some pictures in the store to check the quality of the pictures.
I can only give a suggestion of what to look for in a new digital camera.

nothhing wrong with the camera probably... better question might be, what settings do you use? AUTO? Night? Landscape?

Go outside tonight and play with the settings and see if
1. you can duplicate the problem
2. Find another program setting that 'fixes' the issue

If you can't find a 'good' setting.. then.. maybe, just mabye, time for another camera ;(

i'd get a casio or a sony...I've used kodaks before and didn't really like the quality
